Tournaments

The Open includes three 5-round tournaments Swiss-Dutch system, valid for FIDE Elo variations:
– tournament A: Elo > 1850
– tournament B: Elo < 1900
– tournament C: beginners and Elo < 1600

The organization reserves the right to grant wild cards.

Thinking time: 90 minutes with 30-second increments from the first move.
High-quality equipment with wooden chessboards and games and DGT clocks.
Free parking in the establishment/restaurant “Al Granso Stanco” near the game venue.

Registrations sent on September 24th and 25th will be accepted only if made via instant bank transfer.
Last minute registrations in the tournament hall will be accepted, provided that there are places available and upon payment of an additional fee of €5.

With a written request via email, sent before the pre-registration deadline (September 23rd), it is possible to be absent in one of the first three rounds and obtain half a point (bye).

Regulation

The player can keep his/her mobile phone in the tournament room, provided it is turned off and in a closed bag. It is not allowed to open the bag during the game or to leave with it without the permission of the arbiter.
Maximum delay allowed 60 minutes.
Tie-breaking criteria:
Buchholz FIDE total, direct match (separate ranking), Sonneborn-Berger.
Only those present at the award ceremony will be able to collect the prizes.
Refunds are indivisible, non-cumulative and will be paid by bank transfer.
For anything not covered above, the FSI and FIDE rules apply.
The arbiters’ decisions are final.
